KISH, Arlene Mae (Papp) Kish, 91, passed away on February 13, 2015 at Cherry Hill Haven in Traverse City. She was born on July 17, 1923 in Owosso to the late George and Marie (Vedrody) Papp.
Arlene married Joseph Kish, the love of her life, on March 18, 1944 in Flint. She was a very talented lady who did many crafts throughout her life. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and baking Hungarian style. Her family and friends always looked forward to the nutty rolls, poppy seed rolls and kiflies that she baked at Christmastime. She enjoyed her home in Thompsonville, Michigan and her winter nest in Park City; Davie, Florida.
Arlene is survived by her children, Deborah Karsoe of Swartz Creek, Patricia (Keith) Kopriva of Interlochen and Robert (Chris) Kish of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Wendy (Mark) Hrenyk, Aaron Karsoe,
Sara Kopriva (Jimmy Carroll), Kevin Kopriva (Angela Roelofs); great grandson, Trevor Hrenyk.
Preceding Arlene in death was Joseph, her beloved husband of 60 years; her brothers, Clarence, George and John; and her son-in-law, Thomas Karsoe.
The family wanted to give a special thanks to Ashley, Pat, Tara and Vicky from Cherry Hill Haven III as well as all the dedicated caregivers who showed such compassion for mom. Connie, Jessica and Melanie from Hospice of Michigan, you are very special people and were such a big help. Also a sincere thanks to her dear friends Pat Soderholm and Carolyn and Billy Krah in Park City for taking such good care of Arlene while she was in Florida.
A memorial service honoring Arlene is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Heritage United Church of Christ in Davison, Michigan.
